Make a beautiful Birthday Card with Flora dies
What does CASE a card mean?
You may have come across this term earlier but if you aren't familiar with the word CASE, then let me tell you that it stands for Copy and Share Everything or sometimes also know as - Copy And Selectively Edit. If someone says they've CASEd a card or project, it means they were inspired by someone else's work. It's just a nice way to give kudos to someone else and admit the idea wasn't original.
For today's post I plan to CASE a card that I made last year with one of my most loved Dies - Iris Meraki Flora dies.
I love Die cutting and with the beautiful Flora dies the possibilities of mixing and matching and layering are endless. Here is another card that I made with these Iris Flora dies.
For this card I majorly will use Die cutting technique and add dimensions with ink blending.

Step 1:
For CASEing my card - I actually took the same supplies but I played with colors and design and included some more elements. I took a beige colored cardstock and gave it the texture with Parisienne A2 background die. I am guilty of using this die more than any other die for my background. But it is just sooo beautiful. It's not just amazing for floral cards but even for scenes with critters and fairies., like a card here.
Step 2:
In my earlier card it was just a meadow of one flower but for this, I chose two Meraki Flora Dies - Iris flora dies and April Flora dies.
I die cut flowers of the Iris flora dies from Dark yellow cardstock and added depth to the flower by Ink blending on its bottom with a dark orange ink. The leaves and stamen were cut from Green cardstock and dark brown cardstock.
I die cut the April Flora dies from a white cardstock and with a green marker, added the color on the stems and leaves, leaving the white flowers, uncolored.
Step 3:
When you CASE a card - you are essentially picking few things and using them on your card. The background of the card that I am CASEing was ink blended, but for my card today, I love the look of the beige color for my Orange Iris flowers. With glue I adhered my Floral die cuts - Iris & April and the leaves. For the sentiment I chose the Happy Birthda sentiment from the Radiance stamp set and Stamped it on a black strip of paper and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
To finish off the card, I added three beautiful Meraki Sparkle - Green Butterfly.
These gorgeous Meraki Flora dies enable us to create gorgeous Floral designs without the much difficulty.
