Hello Crafty Friends,
I hope you are keeping well and healthy. Unfortunately our house was under flu attack as both my kids and I were ill. Luckily, hubby nursed all three of us back to health!!
I missed a lot of crafting time but today I’m here to share a card I made using the Jolly Holly hot foil plate along with Capony Leaf released previously. Now that purple foil… it has my heart !!
I began by taking a water colored card stock in light pink, purple and shades of blue that I had in my stash. I got out the Jolly Holly hot foil plate as well as the solid hot foil plate from pink fresh studios. Once the Glimmer machine was hot and ready I foiled the watercolor background with Fuchsia foil that was part of the 4 roll variety pack.
Next, I put on the solid hot foil plate and let that heat up properly before putting another piece of plain white card stock with fuchsia foil. Once I had the foiled panel, I cut the Capony Leaf die twice from it.
To assemble the card, I took A2 base and trimmed the watercolor card stock with foiling to fit over it. I also trimmed a piece of white velum strip wide enough the fit the sentiment from Christmas Miracle and leaf dies on it. I heat embossed the sentiment with embossing powder and adhered the strip by folding over on both ends and gluing down the ends. Next, the whole panel was glued to the card base and finally I adhered the Canopy Leaf dies over the top of vellum. Added some Purple Dream sparkles to finish the card.
I was so happy to create a card in the non-traditional color palate and also that I was able to combine something from the older release to create this holiday card.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
