Happy Fri-yay as my daughter calls it !
Did you catch the fabulous new release #merakimini and #merakiflora at Crafty Meraki ?
Today I am using two of the newest dies that were just released - Kelsey Flora Die and Frame-worthy Mini Slimline die along with Hugs from a previous release.
To start with I die cut the flora die a few times from Strathmore watercolor paper followed by the mini frame die and finally the Hugs die. I snipped off the stems of the flowers as I did not need them. Using water to wet the petals of the flower I carefully colored in each petal with Karin markers. I repeated the steps twice to reach the color vibrancy that I was happy with.
Next I colored the frame with green and ocean teal color. The Hugs die cuts three different layers that can be used together or separately and I used the innermost layer. Colored in cocoa with a touch of black ; all the main elements of this card were ready.
I arranged the elements on the card so as to mark out the space to stamp ‘birthday’. Once stamping was done, all the elements were adhered using foam tape. Florals were given added lift in some places by doubling up the foam tape. And finally the beautiful rainbow butterfly gems also part of the latest Crafty Meraki release were added to bring a little sparkle to this card.
I hope you will check out this fun new release from Crafty Meraki and don’t forget to hop along on Youtube and Instagram for a chance at winning some crafty goodies !! Some of the new minis are on a special price so go grab them while you can !
Until next time, happy crafting.
