Beautiful Flamingos Using Flocking Fabulous

Beautiful Flamingos Using Flocking Fabulous

Hello crafty friends and happy Saturday! I'm Kimberly and SUPER excited to be a guest designer this month.

I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying every last minute of my summer here in Florida, despite the crazy heat. Moreover, I'm sharing a Florida favorite, flamingos! The Flocking Fabulous Stamp Set is filled with adorable flamingos that are so fun to color!

To create this card I started with a white card base (4 1/4 x 11") scored at 5 1/2". Next, ink blend using the Tropical Finesse Stencil onto the top left side of another piece of white cardstock (4 x 5 1/2") using light green ink. Adhere to the card base using adhesive.

Next, using an alcohol marker friendly ink, stamp all of the greenery and flamingos onto a alcohol marker friendly cardstock.

Here are the following Copic Marker Combinations I used to color all of the images:

Flamingos: R39, RV29, R35, R43, R21

Flamingo Nose: C3, C1, C0, R43, R21

Leaves: BG99, YG17, YG25, YG23, YG01 and YG67, YG63, YG13, YG11

Flowers: YR07, YR04, Y17, Y21 and R39, RV29, R35, R43, R21

Pineapple Leaves: BG90, G29, G07, YG03

Pineapple: E99, YR14, Y18, Y23

After coloring all of the images, die cut using Flocking Fabulous coordinating die cuts. Next, die cut a frame panel using white cardstock (3 x 4 1/2"). I cut several frames and layered together using a liquid glue to give added dimension and stability to the card.

Adhere the die cut frame to the card front using foam adhesive. Next, adhere all of the flamingos to the bottom of the frame using adhesive of choice. Add the red flower and greenery to the bottom left using foam adhesive. Add the remaining greenery and pineapple by tucking them under the frame using a liquid glue.

Next, stamp the greeting from the Flocking Fabulous Stamp Set onto a piece of Black cardstock (3/8" x 2 x 3/8") using VersaMark ink. Heat emboss using WOW Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. Lastly, adhere tiny gemstones from the Sparkle Fairy Garden to the card front to finish off the card and party like a flock star!

Summer might be winding down, but there is still lots of time to create using these adorable flamingos with the Flocking Fabulous stamp set!
