Hey crafty friends! Im super excited to be here for the month! This week's theme is vellum and I have a super sweet slimline card with some confetti vellum for the icing.
I started with plain vellum and spritzed gently a layer of oxide ink spray in the colour kitsch flamingo. I then poured clear embossing powder over it, let it sit for a while to absorb some of the powder into the ink, tapped off, then heat set. Once cooled I pushed my finger into the larger drops to make sure any moisture left in them was gone. I repeated the same process again this time with wild honey oxide spray.
I then used the whip cream die from the Meraki Sweet Celebrations to cut out the vellum 3 times. I finished the icing by gluing white card stock swirls on top.
I then die cut my cupcake liner from one of the beautiful floral patterns in the Watercolor Whimsy Paper Pack as well as a frame in the same pattern using the largest die from Slimline Timeless Frames Dies. I absolutely adore this paper and ended up using another pattern to glue my frame to.
I die cut and coloured some of the embellishments from the Sweet Celebrations set to pretty up and beside the cupcake. I attached the cupcake with dimensional tape to the front of my panel as well as a cluster with a few strawberries and some other sweet die cut embellishments.
I stamped a sentiment from the You Inspire Me Stamp Set and fussy cut around the sentiment. I attached dimensional tape to the back of the sentiment and then attached to a strip of white card stock I coloured with copic markers. This was attached to the bottom of my panel with dimensional tape as well.
I trimmed a medium pink card stock panel to a white card base and added my cupcake panel to the top with dimensional tape.
I finished the card with some randomly placed shiny red nuvo drops.
Crafty hugs,
Allie
