Hello everyone, Mansi again with a new blog post today!
I wasn't one to do cute cards before Bindu asked me to try some people stamps from MFT...little did I know I would be hooked! And as I explore creating different skin tones to be more inclusive, diverse and intentionally representative in our art, I have found these stamps to be a treat to paint!
For this card, I used the MFT Birthday Girl Stamp Set. I just love this little cutie, and despite the fact that I don't think any one color should be associated with girls, this little one seemed to want a whole lot of pink! I did add some blue for good measure, though.
I used Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean distress ink reinkers to color her outfit and Gathered Twigs in various levels of dilution to color her skin and hair. I used an embossing folder for the background, giving it the same pink hue as her dress and accessories with distress ink pads.
I also added a bunch of gold, clear and pink thread behind her for some extra oomph.
This card came together so quickly and easily and I hope that you like all of its grace and elegance with a touch of bling!
