A Traditional Christmas

Hi friends....Michelle here today sharing holiday inspiration from the new and fabulous Craftober release!  I'm definitely a traditional red and gold kind of girl, so I most definitely had to pull them out for this card.

Are you familiar with EAP's (Effortless Artistry Paper) yet?  Well if not, they a cardmaking game changer!  They are sheets of already coloured images, that are ready to be diecut.  They coordinate perfectly with the stamp set and of course the die set......you for sure want to check these out!  For my card I diecut the traditional red and green coloured wreath from the Festive Flora Wreath EAP using the coordinating die.  

Next I ink blended a piece of mixed media cardstock using red distress ink going heavier around the outside and keeping it a bit lighter in the middle.  I added gold paint splatters and then took a paintbrush and went around all 4 edges of it and added a very loose border using the same gold paint.

The sentiment was foiled in gold using the Gilded Holiday Greetings Hot Foil plate and diecut using the coordinating die.  The wreath was added to the top part of the cardstock using foam tape and trimmed the overhang off the edge.  The sentiment was also added using foam tape.  To finish it off I added some Meraki Sparkle Red gems.

And there you have it!  A beautiful traditional Christmas card that is so easy and comes together very quickly thanks to the new EAP's.  I hope you like it as much as I do!
