Hi crafty friends! It’s Tuesday again and that means blog time for me (Karin). This weeks theme is ‘thank you’ so I made a thank you card.
I’m adding the smallest laurel leaf para-die that I cut out of white cardstock. I’m colouring the edges with distress oxide in tattered rose with a small blending brush. Just enough so it’s not all crispy white anymore. I’m adding this on top of the sparkling piece with double sided foam tape.
I started with choosing some colours for my card. I chose to use four different nude shades. I’m going to cut every shade with the wavy wonder dies in the biggest size. I’m glueing the strips against eachother on white cardstock. When it’s dry I take a basic cutting die to cut out a rectangle shape out of the striped piece. I want to add something different to it so I took wow embossing powder ‘singing in the rain’ to add on top of this piece. I used versamark watermark ink and dabbed this over the whole piece. After this I sprinkled the embossing powder over it and tapped the excess off. Then I go in with my heatgun to set the powder. Now I have a very sparkling piece.

I cut a piece of card base out of white cardstock and colour the edges the same way as I did with the leaf die. Using the same distress colour. The sparkling piece is going in the middle of the white card base, adding it with double sided foam tape to give this card more layers and interest. I’m colouring a small piece of white cardstock with distress oxide in tattered rose again but now I use the ink directly onto the paper to get a more opaque look. I’m using the ‘thank you’ sentiment from the gilded expressions stampset and stamp this onto the inked paper with black archival ink. I cut a rectangle around the sentiment and add this beneath the leaf onto the sparkling piece. And now we have a beautiful sparkling thank you card in elegant colours.
That was all for today. Hope I could inspire you with this card! Don’t forget to participate in this months challenge. See you next Tuesday!
