Hello! It's Kari here with a set of cards and a video to share! Today we are making a beautiful Christmas Cake on a card with a hot foiled background.
Watch the video below or on YouTube:
To make these card, start out by hot foiling the beautiful Jolly Holly Hot Foil plate on red and green cardstock. I chose some silver and gold hot foil for my cards. I find it easiest to do this all at the same time.
Next, cut out your cakes using the Festive Delights Die set. I love this set!! There are so many design possibilities and it creates a fabulous layered cake. I cut my cake from white cardstock and glitter paper (for the frosting). This makes for a gorgeous Christmas Cake!
To add some details to the cakes, I love the Take A Bow Again die set cut with red metallic cardstock. I used that for the cake on the left.
For the cake on the right, I used some poinsettias from the Festive Flora Wreath Effortless Artistry Paper! These were leftover from another card and I just knew they would come in handy for embellishments!
The sentiments are pressed with the Press-Tacular Gilded Holiday Expressions press plate. I pressed them with green ink and then cut them all out at the same time with the coordinating die. This gave me plenty of sentiments to choose from!
I hope you enjoyed these cards today! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays!
Kari
