Happy Friday, Friends! Irene here with three floral cards using the Mila Meraki Flora Para-Dies.
The first step for these projects is to die-cut many florals on an 8.5 x 11-inch cardstock. Arrange them carefully because we will use the negative space in the cardstock as a stencil. Set aside. Trim three panels to 5.5 x 4.25 inches.
Card 1
To Begin, Ink the background of one panel in the color of your choosing. I used the Catherine Pooler ink in Tranquil for my projects and left the die cuts white. Next, arrange the floral die-cuts to your liking. I began around the edges and trimmed the excess off. Next, I added two florals at the center. For dimension, I only glued at the center of each flower and lightly bent the petals not adhered upward. Set aside.
Card 2
For the second card, I used the negative space from the die-cuts. Using the same ink, I generously inked florals onto the second panel made. I moved the stencil and used a light touch of ink to create softer shadows of florals. Next, I adhered floral die-cuts to the dark stenciling by offsetting them. Once again, I only glued at the center and lifted the petal edges. Set aside.
Card 3
Again, using the same ink, I inked the last panel. I trimmed a smaller panel to 3.25 by 4.5 inches. I stenciled a single flower onto the center of this panel and added a floral die-cut off-center to the ink. I added it to the inked background with foam tape.
Step Two:
I created sentiments using the Handmade Love Meraki Shimmer hot foil plate. To keep a soft look, I chose silver foil. For cards 1 and 2, I added the foil sentiments to the lower right corner with foam tape. For card 3, I adhered it with glue.
Finally, I added BLuebell Wonder Opal Gems to all three cards.
