I started by stamping individual flower stamps multiple times on heavyweight, white cardstock in a variety of Catherine Pooler inks. In the same color as the outline, I ink blended over each flower stamp using slightly heavier pressure in the center of the flower than the petals. To add depth, I used a matching colored pencil to draw in petal folds and veins.
To make the card front, I used a basic circle die to cut a circle from the center-top of an A2 sized panel of heavyweight, white cardstock. I used one stencil in the Waffle Flower Stripe Plaids Trio to create the stripes.
I arranged my images behind the die cut circle, adhering some flowers directly to the card front and others to the card base for variety. I made sure there was enough space to stamp the circular sentiment included with the Sweet Friendship stamp set. I also stamped one of the leaf stamps several times to fill in gaps. After I was happy with the arrangement, I popped up my card front with foam tape and adhered it to my card base. Finally, I added some coordinating sequins and a twine bow to finish my card.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
