Slimline Floral Hugs Card

Slimline Floral Hugs Card

Hello, again! It's Andrea back today sharing a sunny, floral card. This one is sure to brighten someone's day!

I started by creating that beautiful floral paper in the background. First, I diecut white cardstock with the Timeless Frames Slimline Dies and placed the negative panel into my Misti. Using the You Inspire Me stamp, I stamped the large floral cluster from the set with Antique Linen distress ink. I rotated my panel and stamped the cluster a second time on the opposite end of the panel. I left the stamp in my Misti while I "colored" my images.

To add color to my images, I used the You Inspire Me Layering Stencils and distress inks. For the blooms I blended with Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey. I colored the leaves and stems with Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover with a layer of Twisted Citron on top. After stenciling, I placed the panel back into my Misti and inked up the floral centers with Brushed Corduroy, using a dauber to apply the ink to the stamp. I repeated these steps with other images from the stamp set until my panel was full.

Once I was finished stamping and stenciling, I added splatters of the same inks to the panel. Next, I diecut yellow foil cardstock with the Timeless Frames Slimline Dies and adhered the yellow frame to the previously-cut white frame for stability. After attaching the frame to a slimline card with foam tape, I adhered the stenciled panel flush to the card.

For my sentiment I used the Hugs Hot Foil Plate and Die Combo. After foiling "hugs" with Gold Glimmer Foil, I diecut it with the coordinating die. I adhered the diecut to my card with two layers of foam tape and finished with a few metallic pearls from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!
