Hi friends....Michelle here and I'm back sharing a pair of simple and yet elegant gift tags. Tis the season for gift giving, so we are always in need of some gift tags. And a traditional green and red tag is perfect for the season!
I started by ink blending 2 pieces of watercolour cardstock, one with red and the other green Distress Ink and then diecut the tags using the Greetings Slimline Tag die and diecut both. I went around the edges of the tag with a bit more ink, to darken the edges.
Once the ink was fully dry, I heat embossed the Yule Wonder Stamp Set using gold embossing powder. Some gold paint splatters were then added to each. To add a bot more gold to it. a piece of cardsrock was heat embossed using the same gold as the tree and then 2 bows were cut out from the Take A Bow Die set and then added to the top of each tag.
The sentiments are from the Gilded Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plate and cut out using the coordinating die. A few bits if sparkle were added using the Meraki Sparkle Magic Crystal Gems...these added the perfect bit of sparkle! A piece of gold twine was added to the top and that was it!
And there you have it. Simple and elegant and just perfect for gift giving! Making your own tags opens up the door to endless creativity.
I hope you have enjoyed my post for today and that I help to inspire you some way. I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day and until next time,
