Sending You Hugs by Sweta

Hello friends,

As we watch the war unfold it is hard to sit quietly and not think about all the suffering, destruction and loss of lives. Our prayers are with those fighting the unjust war. Card-makers around the globe are coming together under the hashtag #cardsforukraine and painting it yellow and blue to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine. 

I decided to use one of the older CM stamps illustrated by Deepti Malik called Blooming Birthday. I wanted to keep the color palate simple with yellow and blue taking center stage. I used a mini slim line card base for today's card. I inked up the image with brown dye ink and once dry I colored the flowers with copic markers. For the sentiment I chose Sending you Hugs from the same stamp set. 

I wanted to add a tiny bit of sparkle so I added some coffee colored gems and some Wink of Stella on the flowers. I added this panel to a blue background panel keeping in mind the color theme and finally adhered the whole panel to the card base. 

It was a fairly simple card with minimal copic blending but I am happy that I was able to create something meaningful. I hope you will join us on social media platforms with your creations too.
