Karthikha here, and I'm sharing an easy, but super fun interactive card today! It is a Pinwheel Tower fold card, using a mini slimline die - Jewel Blooms. If you have mini slimline frame or cover dies, this fold is a great way to stretch the die and get beautiful results!
I started by creating the panels first, so I chose different colors and shades of distress oxides and distress inks for the blending. Here are the colors for each panel.
Panel 1 - Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers
Panel 2 - Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry
Panel 3 - Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade
Panel 4 - Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade
Once the blending was done, I used the Jewel Blooms frame die to diecut from each panel. I also diecut additional white frames to add some dimension and strength to the frame. I then attached each frame to a black cardstock base and formed the pinwheel tower. I used the leftover pieces from the blended panel to diecut some flowers, and also border the left side panels.
I used tiny birthday sentiments, heat embossed them in white on black cardstock, and matted with some holographic cardstock. I completed the card by adding some Meraki Sparkle Blue Lagoon gems and silver sequins.
