One Way to Overcome Creative Block with Brenda

One Way to Overcome Creative Block with Brenda

Hello, crafty friends!! I think we can all relate to facing creative blocks from time to time. Brenda here with one idea that helps me get those creative juices flowing again!!

I like to choose one new product that I want to work with, then go through my stash and look for older products that have a common theme. In this case, I wanted to use the Luna Para-Dies, so I looked through my stash and pulled out the Crafty Wings Slimline Die.

I began by die-cutting the top two layers of the Luna Die Set from white cardstock and the bottom layer and body from black cardstock. I die-cut each layer three times to create three butterflies. The top layers were blended with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet. Once they were dry, I adhered all of the layers together with liquid glue, only in the center, allowing the wings to pop-up.

Next, I die-cut the Crafty Wings Slimline Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a slimline panel of gray cardstock, then to a white slimline card base. The Luna butterflies were adhered with liquid glue, again only in the centers.

The sentiment is from the Good Vibes Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock strip, then popped up with foam adhesive. Finally, I adhered gems to the butterflies in rainbow colors. I used Petunia, Apricot, Daffodil, Fern, Veronica and Orchid Dew Drops.

That’s one way that I break through a creative block!! I’d love to hear what you do when the ideas just aren’t flowing!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful Thursday!!
