Never too much glitter by Sylvie @Kaliscards

Never too much glitter by Sylvie @Kaliscards

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am cuteness overloaded with the new Crafty Meraki Magical Day stamp set! These unicorns are the cutest and I love all the different attitudes they have. The sentiments are incredible too...you can actually create your own sentiment by combining several phrases.

To create this shaker card, I started by cutting the front panel from white cardstock, 14 by 16 cm in size. I then used the My Favorite Things Color blast die to create an opening in the center of my panel.

Of course, I'm keeping the rainbow stripes which I'm ink blending with Distress oxides from the top of the stripe to the bottom:
1- Worn lipstick, Festive berries and Barn door
2- Squeezed lemonade, Mustard seed, Carved pumpkin, Ripe persimmon and Crackling campfire
3- Twisted citron, Mowed lawn and Rustic wilderness
4- Salvaged patina, Peacock feathers and Mermaid lagoon
5- Tumbled glass, Salty ocean and Prize ribbon
6- Picked raspberry, Wilted violet and Villainous potion

Using the My Favorite Things Cloud stencil, I blended some Salty ocean distress ink on the front panel.

While the inks are drying, I'm stamping the images from the Magical day stamp set, as well as the clouds from the Valentine stamp set, and coloring them with Copic markers. I'm also adding some highlights on the cheeks with a white gel pen. I used the coordinating dies to cut the Magical day and Valentine images.

I also stamped the sentiments on white cardstock and cut them into thin strips. You can't really tell on the picture, but I also heat embossed the word Glitter with a sparkly transparent embossing powder.

I then prepared my card base from white cardstock.

Using the front panel opening as a guide, I glued the rainbow stripes on my cardbase. I then taped acetate at the back of my front panel and covered the back with 3D foam.

I placed sequins in the center of my card base over the rainbow, peeled off the release paper of the 3D foam and adhered the front panel to my card base.

I then adhered the critters and sentiments with 3D foam on my front panel.

To finish the card, I glued a few Crafty Meraki Sparkle fairy garden embellishments.

Hope you like it. It is a fun and easy card to make, that could suit many occasions, for both kids and adults. Hope you will give it a try!!!

Thank you for stopping by and have a magical day!!!
