Hello dear friends!
Ishani here, with festive season on all over the world, Hindus are decorating their homes for the ongoing Navratri festival and excited for Diwali (hopefully this year Corona will not dampen our mood) and I thought of sharing an adorable Diwali card with the new Merakicraftober release Diwali Cuties. I am sure you have already fallen in love with the adorable kids of this set. The set has great little Diwali themed elements that can be combined for a great scene or something Clean and simple like what I have today.
I used 3 room studio mini slimline die and cut out a white cardstock from it, but as I wanted to create an A2 sized card I trimmed out one of the 3 rooms from the die, that left me with only 2 rectangles. Mini slim line dies are very versatile, esp if you want to use them for different sized cards.
I used Copics to color my sweet boy who has been lighting earthen lamps called Diyas and have laid them down on the floor. My upper rectangle has two lanterns that are put up during the festive time of Diwali, they are called 'Kandils' in Hindi, quite an Indianized version of 'Candle'.
My little boy is ready with his Diyas and I think these kids will be a hit this Diwali season. These kids from the stamp set make adorable cards to be given to your family and friends. Even if you don't celebrate, I am sure you know an Indian family who do and I hope you will want to make them happy with these cuties. I hope you like my simple card.
I have many more to share with you, this festive season. If you would like to see more of my work, you could follow me on Instagram at quill_ish where I share more ideas with Crafty Meraki products.
Thank you so much for joining me today!
