Hello Meraki friends,
Ishani here and today I have a fun Summer time outdoorsy card to share with you all! And I chose to make it an all boy card that features Crafty Meraki - It's playtime stamp set. There are soo many kids in the stamp set to choose from, but when you have a son, you want to be sure - you get the best friend right (my son's is now the age when they don't like girls, lol, IYKYK).
With Summers in the Northern Hemisphere - it's perfect time to be out and enjoy the warmth of the sun and have some fun times with friends. I chose to make a card that my son could give to his best friend and though I always have a plan when coloring people and clothes, this time my 8 yr old gave me the suggestions as I was coloring the two boys. And then the rest of the play station and birds were colored, with the color scheme of the boys in mind.
I used the adorable stamp set by It's playtime stamp set and it's coordianting dies make it so easy to cut this beautiful play station with slide and swing.
I colored my cute boys, the slide - swing play station and few critters from the set with Copics and here is a pro tip - especially when you make custom cards - When you are told to color some specific colors for clothes or the theme has specific colors - look at the color wheel - and try to get the Analogous colors - the ones that are neigbours to the one that were specified or Complemetary colors - the ones that are opposite on the color wheel.
Do you have a Cloud stencil?? Next time - you can use it for making hedges or shrubs like I have used for my background. I blended Distress oxides in Twisted Citron and Cracked pistachio for my shrubs and Tattered Rose and Vintage photo for the ground.
