Hey Crafty Meraki friends...it's Michelle back with you today, sharing a project featuring one of the new and gorgeous floral Press-Tacular Plates, Crimson Charm from the newest release, Meraki Genesis. This new plate does come with a coordinating stencil, but we are keeping it nice and simple, using only the press plate.  Let's get started and I'll show you how I made this simple card featuring the new Crimson Charm PressPlate.

To start place the Crimson Charm Press Plate on one of the 2 upper corners of the BetterPress machine.  Ink up the plate first using BluePrint Sketch Distress Ink and then go over the leaves and some of the berries with Pine Needles Distress Ink.  This will create an ombré look to the floral image.  Cut a piece of watercolour paper to fit, adhere it to the platen using low tack tape on the back of the paper and run it through your diecut machine.

Remove the platform and without moving the PressPlate from the magnetic platform, ink it up again using both inks.  Turn the Platen with the watercolour paper attached to it so that the pressed floral image is in the opposite corner.  Run it through your diecutting machine.  Remove the platten and clean the magnetic platform and press plate with water.  The Distress Inks will clean off really easily.

Ink smoosh the blue ink pad and add some water to it.  Using a small paint brush, add some very light and loose colour to the berries.  We are not looking for perfection here, just easy and a light handed kind of wash of colour.  Add some paint splatters in a coordinating blue gouache paint.  Allow to dry and then trim it to 3.75x5".  Take the Blueprint Sketch Distress Inkpad and run it around the edges of the cardstock,  Follow this with the PIne Needles ink pad.  This creates a kind of border and adds some definition as well.

Add the sentiment from the Gilded Expressions Press-Tacular Plate and adhere it using foam squares and add to your cardbase.

And that's it....simple, easy and still gorgeous, thanks to this beautiful new floral from Crafty Meraki!  I find myself kind of gravitating to simple cards lately.  I guess it's a way to show that you don't need to spend hours and pull out all of your supplies to make a beautiful card.  Sometimes simple is best.

Thank you so much for stopping by and joining me on the blog today.  I wish you all the most wonderful and creative day.  Until next time, Michelle :)
