Hello my crafty friends! I have to admit that I am in love with the new illustrator over at MFT and I don't even know her name!!! But whenever she comes out with a new stamp set, I just have to have it! So today I am playing with the cute space bunnies from the Blastoff Buddies set and mixing it with some awesome Crafty Meraki Slimline dies I designed for the wonderful Bindu, owner of Crafty Meraki!
I used these products for my slimline design, all found in the Crafty Meraki store:
- Crafty Meraki Crafty Twinkle Slimline die
- Crafty Meraki 3 Room Studio Slimline die
- MFT Blastoff Buddies stamps & coordinating dies
- MFT Sending You Hugs dies
- MFT Outside the Box Clouds dies
- Oxide inks: peacock feathers, cracked pistachio and scattered straw
I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.
For the background I first die cut some Bristol Smooth cardstock with the Twinkle slimline die, inked the panel with peacock feathers, cracked pistachio and scattered straw in clusters to create a soft galaxy and then splattered it with gold shimmer spray and white paint using a damp paintbrush. I then die cut the cover stitched panel from the 3 Room Studio slimline die and heat embossed the sentiment in gold. Before adding over the galaxy with foam tape I tucked some vellum clouds behind the windows.
Next, I stamped the images from the Blastoff Buddies stamp set, colored them with copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used glue and foam tape to add the images throughout the windows to give nice depth to the scenes. I finished by adding the large "HUGS" layered with the top layer inked with the peacock feathers, cracked pistachio and scattered straw and a few stars cut from the Twinkle slimline die using gold foil cardstock.
I just adore the softness off this card! I think I may have to use this for a baby card sometime, what do you think?!
Thank you for visiting today!
Candice
