Hello friends!
It's the day before Christmas and only fitting that we should have some last minute festive cards on hand !! Or maybe we should commence our Christmas 2022 card making already to get ahead of the game !! Whatever the case may be; here is a super easy and quick card that we can put together in about 15-20 mins.
I used Altenew’s poinsettia dies to cut some red card stock for the flowers on this card. Next I ran Crafty Meraki’s Parisienne slimline die to get those beautiful details on dark green card stock. I added a touch of gold by flicking some metallic gold from Altenew’s metallic palette.
Keeping the card bases ready for future use saves time when putting together a last minute card. I cut, score and store my card bases so I was able to quickly put this card together. Next, I glued all the poinsettia layers just in the middle - one over the other from the largest to smallest. For the smaller cluster on the top I repeated the smallest layer twice and used only one additional layer. Note : I used a red Copic marker to add a slightly darker hue to the leaf veins but this step is completely optional.
Finally I glued the slimline Parisienne panel to the card base and added some foam tape under the bottom petals of the poinsettias to give a slightly raised dimension. I added a pre-foiled sentiment and a few gems in Golden illusion to finish the card.
I love the how the red, green and gold came together for a traditional holiday card. Here’s wishing you all a healthy and happy holiday season! And a wonderful new year to you and yours….
