Hello, Crafty People! Irene here with a lavender floral card. The stamp set I used is so big and beautiful you can make two cards quickly!
I made this card with a GORGEOUS Crafty Meraki stamp set. I used Copic markers for my project. Don't worry if you don't like coloring; coordinating stencils are available.
I first began by stamping the Love Forever stamp set in black ink. After letting the ink dry, I started coloring the entire floral in the lightest shade (V01); this gives your coloring a base to build on. Next, I added strokes of color with the lighter, medium tone (V04). I concentrated on the folds of the petals, the petals in the back, and the center of the flower. I repeated this with the next medium shade (V15). I used the darkest shade (V09) in small amounts where there would be more shadowing. I blended with the lighter shades until I achieved my desired look. Don't be afraid to make mistakes; go for it.
For the leaves, I used the same technique; I used neutral gray markers N0, N2, N3, N4, and N6. I used the darkest (N6) for the middle of the leaves. I used the coordinating Love Forever Para-dies to cut it out.
Tip: Use your medium shades in short, inward flicking motions on the edges, and you will give your florals and leaves more detail.
Next, Die cuts!
I created two backgrounds with the Crafty Meraki Craft-A-Round Background A2. I also made two sentiments with the Crafty Meraki Hello Shadow Word Meraki Para-dies. I used vellum for the outline so the stamped image would shine through.
Assembly
I wanted the first card's stamped images on the top right and lower left. I added the flower to the top right corner, trimmed the excess, arranged it at the lower left, and set the remaining aside. I added the assembled sentiment to the center and sparkle with the Meraki Sparkle Magical Iris gems.
I made a second card with the remaining stamped image. I added it to the top center using foam tape. I added the second sentiment piece to the lower right corner with foam tape. I added Magical Iris gems.
That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed my first blog entry and that it inspired you to use your floral stamp sets. Have a fabulous week!
