Hi everyone!

Happy Sunday! Sindhu here with a cute slimline card loaded with warmest hedgehugs!

I started by stamping the images from Just Quillin' stamp set and coloured them with copic markers. I always first colour my images to make sure the background I create goes with my images perfectly.  After colouring, I fussy cut out the images.

Then, I die cut the word 'Hugs' from white cardstock using the Hugs slimline tag Meraki Para-dies.   I used MFT Dye ink- Ripe Raspberry ink to ink blend on the die cut word. I splattered water on it.

Then, I started to work on the background. I cut a 3.25"×8.25" piece of white cardstock and used Jalapeño popper MFT premium Dye ink. I was very pleased with myself with the way I was able to create a background with depth using a single ink. :)

Then, I stamped a border using one of the smaller images from the stamp set. I went tone on tone. Then, my favorite part- splattering with water on the background. I absolutely love how these inks beautifully react with water!

I glued the die cut and the images in place. I used foam tape behind the die cut and some images for more dimension.

I finished the card by gluing the finished panel on a white card base measuring 3.5"x8.5".

Here are a couple of tips- 1. While stamping images on an ink blended background, if you want them to be subtle, go tone on tone. This will help give your card more texture while still keeping the focus on the main images. 2. When you create dark or bright backgrounds, I found that splattering them with water helps to achieve a softer look.

I hope you like the card I made today.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. See you soon. Hugs... Sindhu.
