Happy Thursday!! Brenda from mypapercutcreations here with you today!! Fall is definitely in the air here, and with that usually comes a change in color palettes. Although I tend to use cooler colors (pinks & purples), I find myself working with warmer colors as the temperatures cool down! That was the case with today’s card featuring the Altenew Darling Rose stamp set.
I began by stamping the images from Darling Rose onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. After coloring the images with Copics, I added details with colored pencils, then fussy cut them out.
For the background, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I thought the blue contrasted nicely with the colors in my rose. Once that background was dry, I splattered on some diluted white gouache.
I absolutely LOVE this greeting from the Darling Rose stamp set. I have a couple of close family members who are having some serious health issues right now, so I thought it was appropriate. It was white heat embossed onto a vellum strip. Once the background panel was dry, I wrapped the strip around the panel and adhered it on the back. The rose and leaves were popped up with foam adhesive. A sprinkling of flat back beads completes the card!
Thank so much for stopping by today!! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next week!!
