Hey Crafty Meraki friends.....it's Michelle back with you today sharing an easy geometric card made using frame dies! It is super easy to do and it is a great design for masculine cards. We all know how hard it can be at times to make masculine cards, what with all of the gorgeous florals out there. Change out the colours and it will for work anyone, really! Let's get started, shall we!
Cut a piece of olive green cardstock a bit bigger than the largest frame in the Crafty Meraki Frame-Worthy Meraki Background A2 Dies. Place all 3 dies on the cardstock and try to align them as evenly as possible. I ended up cutting all 3 dies, although I only used the largest one and the thin inner piece cut from between the 2 smaller sizes.
Using 2 different shades of blue cardstock, cut 2 of the middle sized frame. Using the smallest frame, cut one each from 2 different shades of green/teal/ocean green cardstock.
Place and adhere the 2 larger blue frames kitty corner to one another on an A2 sized piece of white cardstock in a horizontal orientation. If you aren't sure what that means, I simply placed one in the opposite corner than the other....one in the top right corner and the other bottom left corner of the cardstock.
Take the 2 smaller frames cut and adhere over the 2 larger ones, lining them up in the outer corners of the white cardstock. The middle of the small frames should meet up and overlap in the middle of the white cardstock. Adhere the large olive green frame cut, so that it frames and creates a border on the outer edge of the design created. Take the smaller and thinner olive green frame cut and adhere to the center of the framed design, so that it creates a frame for the 4 overlapping diecut rectangles (I feel like the word frame is on repeat lol).
Using the same colours as above, cut from the pale blue cardstock the top detailed layer of the Crafty Meraki - Meraki Moments Just A Note Para-Dies. Cut the 2nd layer from black cardstock and adhere these together. Adhere to the geometrc background created and add this to an A2 cardbase.
This was a fun card to create! It's amazing what few strategically placed diecuts can create! This is truly a design that can work for anyone....masculine and feminine. It's hard enough to create masculine cards sometimes, let alone a design that'll work for both. And the colour combinations are endless!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and joining me on the blog! I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some way. I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day! Until next time, Michelle :)
