Hello there! It's Andrea with you sharing an elegant Christmas card featuring Crafty Meraki's Artisan Flora Wreath Dies.
The theme on the blog this week is Christmas in July. I don't have any Crafty Meraki Christmas products, but the Artisan Flora Wreath Dies create gorgeous floral elements that you can use for any season.
I began by diecutting all of my pieces from cream, colored, and metallic cardstocks. To create some dimension, I added inks to the diecuts before assembling them.
I didn't want to detract from the floral elements, so I kept the rest of the card simple. To add some texture to my background, I embossed black cardstock with the Stellar Sparkle Hot Foil Plate. I trimmed down the cardstock to a 5" square and adhered it to a 5 1/4" white cardbase.
I assembled my wreath by gluing the dark green foliage in a circle on my card. Next, I glued the light green stems. For both, I added glue mainly just to the stems so that I could bend up the leaves, and I made sure to tuck the ends of each stem underneath the leaves of a previous stem.
My sentiment is from a retired stamp set I have in my stash. I stamped it with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-embossed it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder. I used my scissors to "banner" each end of the strip and affixed it to my card with a double layer of foam tape.
I adhered my flowers to my wreath and finished with some gold metallic drops. I just love how this card turned out!
