frame worthy slimline dies

Fintastic underwater scene by Gladys

Happy Sunday friends! As we are about to come to the end of summer I wanted to create one last underwater scene featuring new products from Crafty Meraki.

I used the cute critters from Mertini on the Rocks stamp set. I stamped some of the sea critters multiple times and colored them with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. For the seaweed I stamped them multiple times on a long piece of cardstock and did some partial diecutting. I colored the white outline so that it would blend nicely into the scene.
For the background panel I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock that is slightly smaller than a mini slimline size. I ink blended it using distress oxide inks in prized ribbon, salty ocean, and salvaged patina. I knew I wanted to frame the scene and I love the frame worthy dies for this. I cut the larger die twice on white cardstock. I adhered the seaweed to the frame and then foam mounted it onto the inked panel.
Next I filled the panel with the colored images using double sided foam tape for dimension. For the sentiment I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock, trimmed it down and centered it to the bottom of the panel. Finally I randomly added a few clear bubbles to finish the scene.
I hope everyone enjoy the last few days of summer. Thanks so much for stopping and I will be back for more crafty inspirations! Big hugs!!
