Hello Friends!

Today I am super excited to share with you a different way of using your stamps and dies. I will be using Crafty Meraki’s Diwali greetings, co-ordinating dies and Happy Diwali word die from the #merakifestive release along with Brutus Monroe’s white alabaster embossing powder - all available in the Crafty Meraki store.

I decided to make a cake topper from the word die and some cupcake toppers from the Diwali greetings stamp set.  For that I began by using anti static powder over hot pink card stock and stamping all the images I wanted to use with Versamark embossing ink. Over that I poured some white alabaster embossing powder and heat set it. Once done, I die cut all the images with the co-ordinating dies.

Next, for the cake topper I used the word die Happy Diwali which is a set of two dies but actually cuts three layers. I used hot pink for the bottom most shadow layer. I then cut the inside layers twice. Once with gold glitter card stock and a second time with heavy weight white card stock. I glued the layers using some liquid adhesive and added some glossy accents to the white lettering to highlight it some more. Let it dry.

Once everything was dry, I simply glued tooth-picks to the back of the images and added some gold embellishment. And since I had all the supplies out I went ahead and made a matching card too !!

Since my best friend in town bakes excellent eggless treats; we  decided to share our creations to make a perfectly matched cake, cupcakes, toppers and card!

I sure do hope this blog post will inspire you to use your stamp sets and dies creatively or maybe even bake some yummy treats! Let me know in the comments if you give this a try.

Happy Friday !
