Father's Day card by Sweta

Father’s Day is this weekend and I have a card to share with you using the My Hero stamp set that was part of the last release. There are many cute images in this set along with sentiments that are perfect for dads. 

Since I have two kids - a girl and a boy myself, I was immediately drawn to the stamp with the boy and girl holding hands with their dad. 

I inked up the image in copic friendly ink and stamped it onto X-Press It blending card stock. This particular card stock is well suited to copic coloring which is what I did after stamping. I kept the coloring fairly simple and co-ordinated. I added some grass under their feet to ground the image.

Next, I added the sunburst rays in the background using stencil and distress inks. I added some metallic gold splatter with the Altenew Palette and finally stamped the sentiment at the bottom using some Versafine Onyx black ink. And that completes the card. I had to resist adding some bling onto this card... I tell you it was so hard ;P
