Hi Crafty Meraki friends....Michelle here sharing a fun and easy die cutting technique with you. But first....have you seen the new and fabulous release from Crafty Meraki??? It is filled with beautiful layered florals and absolutely fabulous diecut sentiments! I used the new Hey 3 piece Standalone Die and paired it with the Hey Stamp Set.
What exactly is the eclipse technique you may ask yourself. Well it is die-cutting through stamped images and then stacking those die cuts to give a dimensional effect to your project. This allows you to have continuous stamping over diecuts, without losing any of your image to your sentiment. Let me show you how I made mine.
This technique is normally done over stamped images, but I decided to use a fun and colourful stencilled background for mine. Who says you need to stick by the rules lol.
I started with the Birthday Balloons stencil and placed it on a piece of mixed media paper, sized to 6x6. I always start with a piece of cardstock the size of the stencil if not a bit bigger, so that way I can pick and choose exactly what part of the stencilled piece I want to use. I used 3 different colours of Distress Ink.....yellow, pink and blue, blending them in an order so that they blend in a rainbow order. Once done it was cut down to 4x5.25".
I took the bottom layer of the Hey die and cut it out from white cardstock and the middle layer was cut from black cardstock. The top layer I placed on my stencilled background exactly where I wanted and taped it in place using some low tack tape. You want to make sure it doesn't move as it may ruin your background if it gets crooked and you don't want to have to start over...well at least I didn't lol Once all cut stack your 3 diecuts together. Heat emboss your sentiment in white on black cardstock from the Hey stamp set. The small sub sentiments in both the Hey and Hello stamp sets work so well with any and all of the new large diecut sentiments and hot foil plates.
Adhere your stencilled background to your A2 cardbase and then add your stacked diecut Hey back where the top layer was cut out. Add the heat embossed sub-sentiment using foam adhesive, only adding it where it won't come in contact with a part of the diecut. Add a few selective gems from the Meraki Sparkle Sparkly Mix.....a pink, yellow and blue gem was placed on that colour of balloon.
And that's it! I really hope you have enjoyed my post for today. Have you tried the Eclipse technique yet? If not, then what are you waiting for??? It is such a fun and easy technique to do and so effective with so many possibilities. Head on over to the Crafty Meraki website and check out the new release, if you haven't yet...it truly is fabulous!
I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day and until next time,
Michelle :)

“I’m still in shock and gratitude as I write this. I thought I had lost my entire USDT savings to a scam, but thanks to the expertise of a brilliant hacker, I was able to recover everything!
I was cautious, but the scammer’s tactics were sophisticated, and I fell victim. I thought all hope was lost, but then I stumbled upon a post about a Saclux Comptech Specialst who specializes in recovering stolen crypto. I was skeptical at first, but desperation drove me to reach out.
To my amazement, talk2us@sacluxcomptechspecialst.com responded promptly and explained the recovery process. I was impressed by their professionalism and reassured by their confidence. They worked tirelessly to trace and retrieve my USDT, keeping me updated every step of the way.
In just a few days, I received the news I had been praying for – my USDT had been recovered! I can’t express the relief and joy I felt. Saclux Comptech Specialst fees were reasonable, especially compared to the value of my recovered USDT.
I’m sharing this testimony to hope and encourage others who have fallen victim to crypto scams. Don’t give up – there is help available! I’m forever grateful to SACLUX COMPTECH SPECIALST and their team for their exceptional skills and dedication.
I assure you that this testimony is genuine and from the heart." You can check their website: https://sacluxcomptechspecialst.com/
