Easy Diecut Slimline

Easy Diecut Slimline

Hey Crafty Meraki friends!  Michelle back with you today.....this week the design team has been tasked with creating mini slimline cards and I have an easy and colourful diecut mini slimline card to share with you.  Let's get right to it, shall we!

I started with the Mini Slimline Frame-Worthy Para-Dies and I placed them as evenly as could on all sides and then added a large piece of washi tape to all 4 sides to keep them in place. I then ran it through the diecutting machine with a piece of white cardstock.  Next I coloured each layer that was diecut, even the thinner in between pieces using Copic alcohol markers.  I started dark on one end and then blended out to a lighter colour and then added some black splatters using a gouache paint.

I adhered them all to a light grey background cut to 3.75x6.5".  I then grabbed the Meraki Moments Hey Para-Dies and diecut both the 1st and 3rd layers of this from black cardstock.  The in between layer was cut from the diecut background....I really enjoy incorporating the eclipse diecutting technique into my cards, especially when you have fabulous triple layered word dies like Crafty Meraki does! It was then all added back to my coloured diecut background.  The small sub-sentiment was heat embossed in white on black cardstock using the Meraki Moments Hey Stamp Set.  It was then popped up using some small foam squares and added below the diecut Hey. I added a few of the Meraki Sparkle Clear Gems and then added it all to my mini slimline cardbase measuring 4x6.75".

And there you have it!  A really quick and simple card using only diecuts (except for the small sub-sentiment).  And an easy way to add lots of colour to your cards to. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some small way.

I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day and until next time,  Michelle :)
