Hello crafty friends! I’m happy to see you here and hopefully I can inspire you with todays blog. I’m going to use the new luxe lilies stamp and die for this card.
The next step is placing the lilies onto the card worth double sided foam tape, I used half a centimeter higher foam tape than I used for the circles to add even more dimension. The sentiment is from the gilded expressions stampset, I stamped the miss you sentiment with memento ink and coloured it after stamping with the gold nail art pen. I cut the sentiment out of the paper but there’s a coordinating die set too. I’m placing the sentiment with double sided foam tape in the same higher as the lilies. Adding some embellishments in Meraki sparkle magic crystal with tacky glue and that’s all!
I’m starting with the lily’s. First I stamp them on Ohuhu alcohol marker paper using black memento ink. I chose to use just two lilys for my card. I colored them with Ohuhu alcohol markers. For the petals I used Y010, Y030, Y040. For the stem and leaf I used G2, G3.
After colouring I coloured all the lines gold with a nailpen. It’s more of a liquid gold and it has a broader tip. I’m placing the lily’s on top of eachother using tacky glue.
Now the lily’s are done I’m going to concentrate on the background. First I’m going to cut out a piece of cardstock with the plaid background A2 die. Then I’m cutting three circles out of the the plaid background cardstock in three different sizes. I place the two biggest circles a little over the edge. I also cut the same circles out of yellow cardstock and glue the plaid background circels onto the yellow circles. The other piece of the plaid background is going to be a stencil. I place it on a card base and colour over it with distress oxide ink in scattered straw with a blending brush. Now I can place the circles that I made earlier into the right place on the card base with double sided foam tape. Cut the edges off that are sticking out.
