Happy Saturday everyone! Alexandra here to share two fun floral cards with you.

This weeks theme is pattern paper which I usually struggle to use, so this was a challenge for me! Hopefully my cards can inspire you to pull out your pattern paper even if you also find using pattern paper a challenge.

I found some black and white pattern paper in my stash and I decide it would be fun to die cut flowers from it. I picked out four of the patterns to use and die cut the June Meraki Flora dies from each of the papers. Then I layered the flowers together and added the flower centres which I had cut from gold cardstock.

I was only planning on making one card but after I had created all the flowers I discovered that I had enough to create two cards! I used the striped pattern paper flowers for one card and the polka dot ones for the other.

For the background on the first card I used the Foliage Frenzy stencil and ink blended with some green inks. I die cut this panel with one of my basic stitched dies and adhered it to my cardbase with glue.

I went a bit brighter with my second background and used the Butterfly Garden stencil. I ink blended this one with pink, yellow, and blue to create a rainbow of colours. I followed the same layout for this card and adhered the flowers to the lower left corner and arranged the leaves around the stems.

For the sentiments on both the card I used the Guilded Greetings stamp and die set. Since this set creates so many sentiments in one go, I keep the extras in my stamp packaging and then when I need a sentiment all I need to do is pull one out. This saves so much time!

Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today. Come back next week for even more cardmaking inspiration! If you don't want to wait, make sure to follow me over on Instagram to see all my cardmaking creations.
