Bright and Bold Ink Blended Florals

Bright and Bold Ink Blended Florals

Hello Meraki friends! I'm Lien and I'm back with another floral birthday card. This time it's a mini slimline card because I'm positively addicted to those. (Scroll to the end for the video!)

For this card I started by stamping the huge floral stamp from the Crafty Meraki Love Forever stamp set onto a large piece of Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock in Versamark embossing ink. I then heat embossed it with WOW Bright White Super Fine embossing powder. I stamped it using my Misti and onto a large piece of cardstock so I would be able to die cut it out later and not have to worry whether my die would fit on there.

I then colored in the image using Pinkfresh Studio inks and blending brushes. I used the Marigold, Clementine, Raspberry Bliss, Grassy Knoll and Mermaid Cove inks for this image. Whenever I switched to a different color I first buffed off any excess ink left over on the embossed lines.

I then die cut this with the 3 Room Studio Mini Slimline die by Crafty Meraki and adhered the inside windows down onto a mini slimline cardbase and then propped the frame up on some foam tape for added dimension. I added a gold heat embossed sentiment from the Perfect Sentiments set by Pinkfresh Studio and also added some of the Pinkfresh Studio Small Butterflies. I had these leftover from a previous project where I had heat embossed these in gold onto acetate. To make them stand out a little better on this busy background I also die cut these butterflies from vellum as well. I adhered those onto the card and that's it!
