Blue Watercolored Poinsettia Holiday Card by Brenda

Blue Watercolored Poinsettia Holiday Card by Brenda

Hello, crafters!! Brenda here with a holiday card featuring blue watercolored poinsettias from the Blooming Noel Stamp Set!!

I started off by stamping the Blooming Noel Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth cardstock with Versamark ink. I sprinkled on gold embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. They were watercolored using Karin Brushmarker Pro Markers, cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered together with liquid glue.

For the background, I added Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink to one of the branches in the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set with a foam dauber and stamped it repeatedly into a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. Although this stamp set has all the branches as one stamp, you can still stamp only one branch by inking it with a dauber, placing the stamp onto the background where you want it and rubbing over it with your hand. The panel was trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 panel of dark blue cardstock and the poinsettias were adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Gilded Holiday Greetings Stamp Set. It was also gold heat embossed onto Bristol smooth cardstock, cut out with its Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. I added Gold Opal Gems to the centers of the poinsettias and Blue Lagoon  Sparkle Rhinestones to the top left and bottom right corners to finish it off.

I’ve really loved letting some of the elements hang off the edges of my cards lately!! I just put them in a larger envelope when I mail them!!

Thank you so very much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great Wednesday!!

Brenda
