Birthday Wishes by Brenda - Adding Details to Die-cuts

Hello, fellow card makers!! Brenda here with an all die-cut birthday card to share today!!

I began by die-cutting one of the sunflowers from the Natalia Meraki Flora Die Set from watercolor paper. I smooshed Distress Inks onto my glass mat, spritzed them with water, then swiped the sunflower through the ink to add a base color. I used Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo. I let it dry for a bit, then added dimension and detail with the same inks, using small blending brushes. I added detail to the center of the sunflower with a yellow gel pen.

For the background, I die-cut the Craft-A-Round A2 Background Die from white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 panel of light yellow cardstock with liquid glue. I splattered it with gold watercolor paint. Once it was dry, the sunflower was adhered to the background, also using liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Star Mini Slimline Die Set. It was cut once from brown and yellow cardstock and two times from heavyweight white cardstock. I blended Found Topaz Distress Ink onto the bottom of the yellow layer, then adhered them together with liquid glue, slightly offsetting the top layer. They were adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue. Gold Opal Gems finish off the card.

That’s it for me!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!!

Brenda
