Hey Crafty Meraki friends......it's Michelle back with you sharing a new project. Today it is all about the celebrations! I used my favourite Birthday Balloons Stencil and paired it with some fabulous foiling. Let's get started, shall we!
Take a piece of the Birthday Party ESP and foil it using Rainbow DecoFoil using either a laminator or a Minc machine.
Next take the Birthday Balloons Stencil and adhere the stencil to the foiled paper. Apply an even layer of Decofoil Transfer Gel Duo. This specific gel is what you need for the next step, as it remains tacky when dry. Allow to dry for at least 1 hour or longer....I left mine overnight.
This is what it will look like once it is dry. It will be glossy, transparent and be tacky to the touch. Take a piece of Decofoil black flocking and cut it to the size to fit the balloon background. Place the flock colour side down on the gel. So the black fuzzy flock side down and run it through your Minc or laminator twice. Once cooled, peel of the flock and trim your flocked background to 4x5.25". I added a black mat behind this background, to try to bring a little more black, but left the smallest little border peeking out.
To incorporate the foiled banners, take a piece of black toner paper and foil it uisng the same rainbow foil as the banners. Diecut the top detailed layer of the Meraki Moments Happy Birthday Para-Dies from the rainbow foiled piece. Cut the bottom shadow layer using white cardstock and adhere together. Adhere all of this to an A2 cardbase.
I love it looks, the black flocking over the foiled banners! The black tones down the foil about....not that you want it toned down lol. Such fun the double foiling and the perfect birthday celebration card!
