Hey Crafty Meraki friends....have you seen the brand new release from Crafty Meraki??? It's is full of beautiful product suites, that are comprised of Press-tacular Plates, co-ordinating stencils, stamps and dies. There are some gorgeous products! Today I am focusing on the Feathered Friends Press-Tacular Plate and coordinating stencil.
Start by pressing the image to a piece of watercolour paper in black ink. Add some pigment powders to the entire cardstock and spritz with water to activate them. Allow to dry.
Start colouring in the image with the stencils, working your way from the 1st to the last one. The stencils are all numbered, so it is very easy to find out which one to use next. Cut out the image using the coordinating die.
Create the background using pigment inks. Dip a damp wide paintbrush in the pots of powder and brush it on the dry watercolour paper. Try to get streaks of uneven colour, for dimension and interest, instead of a flat one diemsion background.
Once dry, add the diecut pressed image to the background. Add your sentiment and pop that up using foam adhesive. Add this to an A2 cardbase.
