Hello Crafty friends,
Today I have another dual project featuring the Merakulous Mini Slimline die, with two different colors for the frame die cut. It shows you how different your card can result from just changing the cardstock color!
The wings in both versions are from black cardstock. So for the two cards, I will need 2 pieces of black cardstock and 1 piece of white cardstock. I'm adhering a double-sided adhesive sheet at the back of all 3 panels. This is totally optional, but such a time saver for the next steps!
I then die cut the three panels with the Merakulous Mini Slimline die.
I prepared two card bases and adhered a black Merakulous frame on one, and the white one on the other card base.
So at this stage, I'm left with the inside of the wings on the release paper of my double-sided adheresive. I can put away the white version which I will not need for these projects.
On both black wings, I blended Altenew Metallic watercolors (Rose quartz and Jade) and let them dry.
I then placed the wing pieces inside the frames. This is where the double-sided adhesive sheet comes in handy, because you can quickly and easily transfer each piece from the adhesive release paper to your card without having to use glue and make a puzzle!
I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiments from the Wingman stamp set. I chose a sparkly and iridescent embossing powder with shades of green and pink to match with the wings.
To finish the cards, I adhered a few embellishments here and there with the new Sparkle divine illusion. They also have shades of green and pink depending on how they catch the light... perfect for this project!
Thank you for stopping by! Sending you my love and some butterfly kisses
